THERAPY
Ken Hartenstein MS, LPC, SAC
I firmly believe the most important factor in the success of the psychotherapeutic process is the relationship between client and therapist. I’ll work with you to meet you where you’re at and foster a relationship of trust and compassion to allow you the space to truly open up and find the path you are seeking. I work with adults and couples on a wide range of issues, including aging issues, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, compulsive behaviors, life transitions, relationship issues, trauma, and more.
I try to focus on the cognitions that often lead us to get stuck in negative patterns of thought, resulting in behaviors and attitudes that serve us negatively. Among others, I utilize CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, brain spotting. I also offer collaborative counseling, a unique modality for couples treatment, providing a therapist for each partner.
